An Ode To You (February 21, 2009)
It’s like as if you cast away a shadow of gloom
A scythe of valor abridging my fears to roam
Aided with a glowing faith I dare to yield
In my life’s cliff, you are my constant shield
You keep that blazing fire aglow in lanes
To fight against the stream when havoc reigns
Showering me flames of love against some trails
That glimmers me hope when I seem to fail
Life takes me to a spot I wish I could soar
To sordid things, you strengthen me some more
Against those roaring waves, your love gives me strength
You blush my heart with a sparkling stint
My Ma and Pa, to God I extol my praise
You scorn my fears and wipe away my tears
Your arms’ cradle transcends my deepest dreams
For you are the great flutters of my wings
Faraway from home, I miss our nest
But the thought of you aspires me best
The love you give rejuvenates my soul anew
Like the splendor of a mountain view.
